| The 5B Purple antenna seems to to be the only remaining first generation mast in the UK. The site is now (2021) part of a farm and the mast is still used as a DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) station managed by Trinity House. DGPS is going to be decommissioned in the UK next year (March 2022). In all probability, the mast will be demolished afterwards. Click on image to enlarge. (Photo by Santiago Insua). |
