            The pushbuttons only operate in the broadcast band.

The phonograph in the 253FM consumes additional power.

Comment:  Models 252FM and  253FM use the same chassis and schematic. In addition, the 253 also has a built in phonograph as illustrated below.  Early models used a single speed record changer while later models used a three speed record change
