Type: 5 tube superheterodyne receiver with four preset tuning pushbuttons
Vintage: Early 1950s
Frequency Range: Broadcast band and short wave  6 to 15 MHz
Tube lineup: 6BE6 6BA6 6AT6 6V6GT 6X5GT
Power input:  25 or 60 Hz depending on nameplate rating.

Comment: Canadian Marconi first used the model designators 291 and 294 in 1938 for car radios. For an unknown reason, they decided to apply the same model numbers to two tabletop radios built in the  early 1950s.
