Comment: The Echophone Model 40 is not to be confused with the Marconi Model 40.  Echophone made radios for the Canadian Marconi
Company in Montreal. Specifically, these were the models 40,  50, and 60 . Things can become confusing since the Echophone 40 and 60 models overlap  with Canadian Marconi models 40 and 60. Echophone model 50 has no overlap.

The Echophone 40 design is based on the Marconi 28 chassis.  The Echophone Model 40  info is  found on page 59 instead of page 56 in the  Marconi Service Manual Vil 1, Table of Contents.. Marconi  model 28 is incorrectly pointing to page 56. It shouuld read as page 59
