705 key.

According to Mr. Finlayson of the Canadian Marconi Company. Montreal, the 705 key was made sometime before WWI by Canadian Marconi at their Glace Bay, N.S. shop. He indicated the auxiliary contacts mounted on the two square posts in front of the main trunion would close when the key was pressed These posts were connected to the center binding posts in the rear of the key. Wires from the binding posts ran to the nearby receiver input thus blocking heavy RF from going into the set. This key is currently held in the collection of the AWA.  (Courtesy Telegraphkeys.com)
