GENERAL VIEW: The building in foreground, close to right border of photo is the Commissionaire’s shack. The row of vehicles beyond the security fence is the station parking lot. The building on the left is the new barracks block completed circa 1958, with the chapel in the centre and then, close to the left edge of photo, a portion of the C&POs’ Mess. The pathway at the lower left of the photo, leading to the mast, starts at the (unseen) Administration Building, part of which shows as the roof line at lower left. Behind the parking lot are the PMQ's and in the distance, the Petitcodiac River with Moncton in the background. (Photo courtesy DND) |
