Comment: The Marconi Lifeguard is a maritime auto alarm receiver designed to automatically monitor distress frequencies for alarm calls from ships in distress. Up on receipt of an alarm, the unit will sound an alert in the radio room, the radio officer's quarters and on the bridge so that all necessary crew members are alerted to the distress.
Frequency: Monitors 500 KHz
Modes: Reacts to CW or MCW signals
Technology: Vacuum tube.
Mains input: 110 VDC or 220 VDC with the use of a dropping resistor/ ; can be run from AC mains with the use of an adaptor unit,
