Type: The Renown receiver and its companion transmitter, namely, the Guillemot were released in 1954 for use in small coastal vessels and fishing trawlers.
Frequency range: 45 to 131 KHz; 375 KHz to 3.4 MHz .
Modes: A3 only plus direction finding capability. The DF loop was of the single loop type and was manually trained by a handwheel directly above the operator's head.
Mains voltage: 24 volt batteries.
