55013 VOLTAGE GENERATOR
Type: Hand cranked voltage generator used to produce high voltage for the anode of the valve in the final output stage of a transmitter.
Output: 1,500 volts at 12 ma

Comment: Two hands were needed to crank the generator. One WW1 photo shows a generator being driven by an "exercise" type bicycle. Using an extra man for power generation was deemed unacceptable to the British army some 20 years later.
